For a short month, February sure has a lot going on!
For me, February means LOTS to do. There’s my son’s birthday, which was also Super Bowl Sunday. But that aside, it brought us snow and then more snow and it’s only the 7th! Check out this pic of my birdbath. It's a good way of seeing just how much snow we have. This is actually about 13-14 inches of snow! But hey, I don't let it get me down because February is sort of a turning point month. Spring is almost here, and we’re gaining daylight. We just have to get through February, and it’s a short month so it shouldn’t be so bad, right?
February is always such a busy month for me. It’s the time when I’m waiting for my tax documentation. I always do my taxes early and at this point, believe it or not, I already have all of my documentation back so I'll be taking care that soon.
It’s also time for Spring semester classes to start up and I am happy to say that I’m back in school, changed my major to Business and I’m deeply engrossed in Financial Managerial Accounting and Internet Communications – and loving it.
AH, my brain is on fire! (in a good way) If you know me, you know that I have to keep on learning. I like to always have new information going into my brain. It’s important.
Let’s not forget that the Olympics start up this week as well. I really enjoy the Olympics – I love the dedication, “the agony and defeat” and the discipline. What I don’t like is the negativity. So I’ll watch for the fun and not listen to all of the crap. Everyone is a critic.
This month is also the American Heart Association's GO RED month. Today, February 7th, we should all wear red in support of the cause. (more on this cause later in the series)
And let’s not forget that Valentine’s Day is this month which keeps lots of people busy buying flowers, chocolates, gifts and cards. (more on Valentine’s Day in next week’s blog)
So for a short little month, February has lots going on. I’ll touch on little February’s big things all month in this blog series.
Check back next Thursday for my take on Valentine's Day!
It's me, just trying to get by.
