No, I'm not stressed at all!
You gotta know your own stress triggers. For example today, I have an uneasy feeling. I can't tell why but I can't relax, I can't stop just thinking about everything! I'm thinking about the food shopping, the bills, what's for dinner, work, calls I have to make. It's all racing around in my head today.
I would say that the only way you are not stressed is if you are on a beach somewhere right now with no one bugging you and nowhere in particular to be any time soon. I'm jealous if that's you!
Here are some of the obvious stressors:
MONEY - who does not have money troubles? Do the best you can with what you have. That's all you can do. "They" say that you should have 6 months of expenses in your savings account - I WISH!
JOB - either your have a job that's 24-7, you don't have a job at all, or you have a job you hate! Either way you're stressed!
RELATIONSHIP - again - who doesn't have relationship issues? Seems like there's always a reason to fight. Let's find reasons not to.
CAREGIVING - I know too well how being a caregiver can take a toll on you. You love caring for people but suddenly you realize that you are burnt out. That's when you have to STOP!
NEVER SAYING NO - This once was me but not anymore. I think of my own situation, my family and all that I have going on before I say yes to things. If I have any doubt - I say NO and you should do the same.
ORGANIZED TO A FAULT - Ok so this is me - I admit it. I have to have things orderly and neat with everything in it's place - I don't think it stresses me out but it may stress other people out! It makes me happy :)
There are lots of things I do to help me to relax. I don't drink (other than socially) so that's out. I use my creativity to unwind. For me, I like cooking or being outside in the garden. Believe it or not, weeding the garden is relaxing to me. Writing things down is a great way to unload those things that are weighing on you. Yes, deep breathing does help if I could only settle down enough to do it!
Comment and tell me your stress triggers and how you handle them.
It's me, just trying to get by.
