The Holstee Manifesto
I love positivity! Holstee Company is all about being positive. In fact the goal of HOLSTEE is to "positively influence 1 billion people on this planet over the next 10 years." I learned about this company while doing a project for school. The assignment was to find a company whose business philosophy you believed in - I found HOLSTEE. They support "mindful living" and I love that. They sell cards, posters and other products with their messages on them. Check it out here: https://www.holstee.com/collections/all

Hey have you heard of ELLO? Facebook has new competition! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my Facebook experience, but ELLO is something new and very cool!
What is Ello? This is what I learned from the ELLO site: Ello is a simple, ad-free social network created by a small group of artists and designers. It was originally built as a private social network. Over time, so many people wanted to join Ello that they built a public version for everyone to use. Ello doesn't sell ads or data about you to third parties.
Virtually every other social network is run by advertisers. They use ad salespeople and data miners to record every move you make. Data about you is then auctioned off to advertisers and data brokers. You're the product that's being bought and sold.
On October 23, 2014 Ello became a USA Public Benefit Corporation, making it virtually impossible for Ello to ever sell ads or user data. Read more here.
Ello is currently invitation-only. To join Ello, you need to know someone that is already on the network. Alternatively, you can request an invitation by visiting the Ello Home Page.
Wedding Tree Guest Book
I just love the fact that weddings are so creative now. I love
that couples have ventured away from the so-called “normal” or “traditional” wedding. There’s a whole world of new trendy things being done. I really like this idea: the new and improved guest book. The Wedding Tree Guest Book is just one fabulous idea. Guests sign in on the leaves of the canvas and you can then frame it. There are many styles here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/154138463/custom-wedding-guest-book-tree-unique?ref=related-0
You could come up with your own idea too. What about having your guests write words of advice/love to you on river stones which would then become part of your home decor, or they could write one word on a cork and then the corks go into a beautiful jar, or they can write a little scroll and place it in a bottle and you can read them on your first anniversary together. Get creative!
Yes, you read it correctly! This company is from England and well, I just find it very unique! While I was searching for blank notecard stock, yet another thing I’m into, I found this site. These cards say it as you would probably LOVE to say it. They have unique cards with sentiments like Happy F-ing Birthday, or You Magnificent Bastard, or even I F-ing Love You. I would think you have someone in your life who would appreciate a card like these.Check it out here: http://calligraphuck.bigcartel.com/
Well, I am not getting younger, I'm getting older! You know that as we age, we lose collagen in our skin. We get wrinkles only to be followed by the dreaded sagging skin, I am always on the lookout for anti-aging products that are all natural. I did some searching and found these Collagen Supplements and since I hate taking pills of any kind, I was happy o see that they are a gummy, much easier to take and they taste good too. You can find these at Walgreens, and you can always find them online. I get mine from Amazon. I started taking them at the beginning of the summer and I have noticed that my skin is softer and smoother, I am not kidding. Now maybe it just works for me, but it certainly can't hurt to take additional collagen. The does is for 2 a day but I take one - just in the morning only because I don't like to take anything in the first place! I like them - if you try them and notice anything, post it here! As always, mention it to your doctor beforehand. ·
Cast Iron Door Stop or Paperweight
This is something I have been eyeing for my desk. It's a cast iron paperweight or it can be used as a door stop. I just think it's cool.
Found at the World Market http://www.worldmarket.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3706434
This site is really cool. Do you want to learn something? Teach something? Skillshare is an online community just for that! In their "about us" it says "Skillshare is a community marketplace to learn anything from anyone. We believe that everyone has something they want to learn and something they can teach to others. This means our online communities are really the greatest universities. Our platform helps make the exchange of knowledge easy, enriching, and fun."
I signed up and there are so many classes to take and I could even teach something. There are fees, although minimal. For example you can learn how to "Learn to Cook Gnocchi Like the Italians" for $19, or you could try "Upgrading your Camera" or Bollywood Dancing 101 ! Like to teach? You can do that too. Go here: http://www.skillshare.com/teach to create a class! It's so cool!
Dr Oz, L-Carnosine Anti-Aging Pill
I was upstairs putting the laundry away when my husband called me downstairs. "Hey Sha, come down here and see this, and don't take it the wrong way" So I came downstairs to see that he was watching Dr. Oz and it was about an anti-aging pill called L-Carnosine. Ok I won't take it the wrong way - you don't think my skin is wrinkly. Anyway I did some research about it and it turns out that Carnosine can "help" you turn back the clock. Dr Oz said that L-Carnosine Pills could be the miracle anti-aging pill! Do you believe it? Well to find out more go here: http://www.emaxhealth.com/8782/l-carnosine-anti-aging-miracle-pill-prevent-telomere-shortening I'm thinking about trying it so I'l llet you know what happens!

Mrs. Lilien's Cocktail Swatchbook
Ok so you've seen those fan decks with all the paint chip colors right? Well this is the same thing but with cocktail recipes! How cool is that. I'm definitely going to purchase one of these. You can get it at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or other places I'm sure - just search for it! It's about $10-$12 depending. Look around online for the best deal because I have seen this all dfferent prices! I think it's a great gift idea.
I found this at the website called Uncommon Goods.
If you're looking for different gift ideas, this site is perfect.
This is a glass "baggie" that you can fill with whatever you like!
Wild Friends Nut Butter
I saw this on the Shark Tank Show a while ago and I just love this story.
From their website...Keeley and Erika, co-founders of Wild Friends Nut Butter say: This all began one dreary Sunday at the University of Oregon. The two of us were in our college apartment, scraping the bottom of yet another jar of peanut butter. With no more peanut butter and a surplus of celery, we were faced with a familiar conundrum. However, neither of us wanted to ride our bike in the pouring rain to the store to buy more. Luckily, we had a bag of raw peanuts, a brand new food processor, and two squirrelly little minds....read more here
